According to VGChartz, UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves is estimated to be the 3rd fastest-selling PS3 title in the United States (4th worldwide), and its first week’s sales are estimated to exceed one million units.

Preliminary counts show that over 300,000 units were sold in its first day (including pre-orders), more than double the amount that 2007’s UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune sold in its first week. This shows nearly an 8-fold increase for Nathan Drake’s second outing as the half-tucked treasure hunter.

With the buzz leading up to Among Thieves‘ launch, this is the first time many gamers will play UNCHARTED, which is also expected to lead to increased sales of Drake’s Fortune.
