Like me, you’ve probably enjoyed the soundtracks behind UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune [iTunes] and UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves [iTunes], both composed by Greg Edmonson.
Unfortunately I’m finding that I’m running out of UNCHARTED music quicker than I’d like, so I’ve compiled a list of music similar in theme and style to the UNCHARTED soundtracks. I’ve listened to and own all these albums, and as you’ll see, I’m a big fan of Bear McCreary’s work on the critically-acclaimed, re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series… not only does Bear utilize lots of percussion and brass instruments, but his ethnic interludes fit perfectly in the UNCHARTED universe as well.
John Powell’s work with The Bourne Identity, Jeff Beal’s music for Carnivàle and Jack Wall’s score for Myst III: Exile also fit nicely with UNCHARTED’s sound.
With that, let’s get on to my recommendations with the following eight soundtracks!
