Congratulations to the team at Naughty Dog and Sony Computer Entertainment America for grabbing top prize, ‘Game of the Year,’ at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards 2009 for UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves. Earlier in the awards ceremony, UNCHARTED 2 also won ‘Best PS3 Game’ and ‘Best Graphics.’

Its top contenders were Assassin’s Creed 2, Batman, Left4Dead 2, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, among other high profile games across Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii platforms.

Nolan North, who voiced Nathan Drake in the UNCHARTED game series, noted that the studio is celebrating UNCHARTED 2‘s continued success “by kicking around ideas for ‘Uncharted 3,’ because that’s what we want to do.”

Naughty Dog also has 8 nominations at Machinima.com’s first ever Inside Gaming Awards on December 15, 2009. While it was a private event, you can watch the coverage on December 15th on Machinima’s Inside Gaming channel.
