Emily Rose, known to all UNCHARTED aficionados as the voice and movement behind the much beloved Elena Fisher, has announced via her Facebook page that she is to star in a brand new drama on Syfy called Haven.
The story sees Emily’s character (an FBI agent) on the trail of the murderer of an ex-con, and encompasses supernatural and science fiction elements. As a fan of creepy science fiction-esque shows, I think you can imagine that I am not only looking forward to the show, but I’m over the moon that Emily Rose has been cast as the lead.
While she doesn’t have a quote included in the trade articles, Emily could barely contain her glee, telling her fans on Facebook “I love my job I am so excited!!!”
Aside from providing the voice to UNCHARTED’s Elena, Rose has had several key recurring roles television including John From Cincinnati, Brothers and Sisters, Jericho and ER. She was also the lead in the USA pilot Operating Instructions.
How this affects any chance we may have of seeing her reprise her role as Elena on the big screen adaptation of UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune remains to be seen, but I for one hope that she will be available, and willing. There can really be no other Elena.
Stay tuned while we follow the news regarding Haven. In the mean time, what are your thoughts on seeing Emily return to television? Let us know in the comments below!
