It’s always an ambitious goal to launch a site that requires as much passion as it does content. While All Things UNCHARTED has stayed the course longer than most other fan-style news sites that center around a launch, we at ATU wanted to focus more broadly beyond just the games. That required us to forge some relationships with the gang at Naughty Dog, reach out to some of the cast and crew (like our exclusive interviews with Emily Rose and Greg Edmonson, whom we can’t thank enough!), and more.
When I started the site, Dylan was a great help in assisting me back-fill some articles so we wouldn’t launch with an empty site. Dylan went to focus on college, as good students (whom still love video games) should, and Bryony came on board to help me contribute articles to the site. A few more great contributors came and went (hi Steven, Thomas, LJ!), but Bryony stayed the course- even after bringing a new addition to her family!
During the run-up to UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, my time got severly compressed at work, and Bryony stepped in to handle much of the content throughout the site. A few months ago, I gave her free rein of the Twitter and Facebook account, and she’s done great work! (And unfortunately doesn’t get paid for it.)
As my career has seen me relocate to another state and with my demanding schedule not slowing down any time soon- especially as I look to finally start dating again- it’s time to take a back seat and let the best person around take over All Things UNCHARTED.
Effective immediately, Bryony is the lucky owner and manager of All Things UNCHARTED! I couldn’t be more happy and proud to hand the reins over to her, and I’m excited to see what she’ll do with this.
If you wish to contribute in any way, please reach out to Bryony. I’ll still be around, but only as a contributor (sadly a role I’ve performed for quite some time already).
Kick some ass, Bryony!
