The motion comics follow Nathan Drake’s adventures prior to UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune, as Nathan seeks the ‘Eye of Indra’ in an attempt to get enough money together to fund the raising Sir Francis Drake’s coffin… even if it means he has to team up with a known criminal.

“Here, he’s willingly getting hired by a known criminal,” Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog’s co-lead game designer said. “It’s still Drake. He’s got his good side.”

From what we can see, it appears as if the voiceovers for the above segment are taken from the first game’s cinematics. However, the new segments should include new audio recorded specifically for the motion comic.

The comics will then follow Nathan’s travels following the events of Drake’s Fortune and lead up to UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves.

IGN’s reporting that each episode will be about 5-minutes a piece, with the first free video being released tomorrow today, October 22nd, 2008, with the rest following in November, 2009, and will be sold individually and eventually bundled together for $2.49.
